The Retirement Community of Fairbanks is advertising for a Director for Raven Landing Senior Community, now under construction, with future expansion planned. The Director position will be part time, up to 30 hours per week, $25 per hour, non-exempt.

The Vision

Envisioned and developed by Fairbanksans, this senior community has been in the planning for five years. Architectural plans are prepared and funding is being put in place to begin construction in summer 2009.

The Housing

Raven Landing will provide rental apartments and purchased condominiums at market prices for Fairbanks seniors who desire independent living options in safe, secure buildings designed for seniors.

The Community Center

Raven Landing Community Center will be a space for seniors to eat, learn, relax, and socialize together. This facility will be available for residents and for others in the Fairbanks community.

The Location

Raven Landing will be located centrally in Fairbanks, near the library, hospital, and shopping. This complex will replace the east portion of the Fairview Manor apartment buildings which have outlived their usefulness.

The Management

The Retirement Community of Fairbanks is a nonprofit corporation developed specifically for the purpose of planning for this senior retirement complex. The Retirement Community of Fairbanks will continue to be involved as managers of Raven Landing
